Monica Sharma, trained as a physician and epidemiologist, worked for the United Nations more than twenty years. She is the Tata Chair Professor at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences in Mumbai. She has published and presented over 250 articles in journals and international forums. Sharma created and uses a unique response model based on extensive application–a conscious full-spectrum model–which simultaneously solves problems, shifts systems, and creates new patterns sourced from individual inner capacity and transformational leadership. This model has generated sustainable results worldwide. www.radicallytransform.org

The Show invites everyone to engage in creating a new reality that is equitable and prosperous. We learn about new ways to source our inner capacities and wisdom to manifest change that embodies universal values of dignity, compassion and fairness; and at the same time, transform unworkable systems and norms in order to solve problems. We will deconstruct fallacies that societies continue to promote related to self and the world around us that leads to complacency and non-action. This is a radical new approach to transformational leadership. Using examples from around the world, we will see how everyone has the potential to be a leader–a person who creates a new future through actions in society, at home, and at work. This program is not useful for those who are satisfied with the world as it is today. This program for people who have questions. It encourages us to question the status quo, ask relevant questions, generate insights and act in order to establish universal equity and dignity.

First Episode: Guest in the 2nd segment: Megan Joseph, MA has spent 18 years working with multi-sector collaboratives to increase their capacity to work together for equitable and sustainable results. As Executive Director of Rise Together, a multi-county initiative to cut poverty in the Bay Area, Megan has implemented a 250 member coalition for policy and systems change, addressing issues of employment, affordable housing and early childhood education for critical populations. As Director of Community Organizing for the United Way of Santa Cruz County she founded and supported multiple sustained initiatives, including the Santa Cruz County Youth Violence Prevention Task Force and the Community Corrections Partnership Community Engagement Task Force.

Whether we realize it or not, the words we use dictate and control our lives. The persistent messages we repeat can frame our thoughts and trap us into a mind-set that is difficult to break. This mind-set often manifests itself with statements like “I can’t,” “I’m not good enough,” and “I’ll never find the [insert the blank] I want.” Many times, we don’t stop to consider the profound impact that these negative, limiting words have on our mentality, life choices, and the path of possibility that we manifest….
