Choose Love Movement
The Choose Love Movement is a nonprofit founded by Scarlett Lewis after her 6-year-old son, Jesse, was killed in the Sandy Hook, CT tragedy in 2012. Scarlett chose to address the root cause of so much of the suffering we see today in order to create a safer, more peaceful and loving world. Jesse left a message on their family’s kitchen chalkboard, ‘Norturing Helinn Love’ (Nurturing Healing Love.) This message translates into a powerful formula that enables us to Choose Love as a thoughtful response in every situation, circumstance and interaction. The Choose Love Movement is a place for all to come together to be part of the solution. The Choose Love Movement provides children and adults with the essential life skills that are a direct path to flourishing in every area of our lives and enable us to be the best version of ourselves. Our no cost online solutions offer a universal language, focus on love, connection and belonging, and are in all 50 states and 120 countries. You can learn more on our website: www.chooselovemovement.org

About Jesse Lewis
Jesse McCord Lewis was an amazing child, full of light and love that was unmistakable in his presence. He brought joy to the world with his infectious and radiant smile. He was smart and compassionate beyond his years.
Jesse died bravely on December 14th, 2012, trying to lead other children to safety during the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. He ran into the hallway to help when he heard the shots. He shouted out to his classmates to run and was able to save 9 lives before losing his own. He was six years old.
He left behind a message of “Nurturing Healing Love” on his family’s kitchen chalkboard. The message is phonetically spelled because Jesse was in first grade and just learning how to write. The profound message serves as comfort for his family and inspiration for the world to be better and love harder. He also left behind a sweet note to his older brother, reminding us all to “Have a lot of fun!” https://chooselovemovement.org/
