01-11-17 Practicing A Course in Miracles
Description: Forgiveness is the core practice of A Course in Miracles, which offers us a program of healing the mind. Similar to other programs of healing, such as Alcoholics Anonymous, the Course requires that we first acknowledge that we have a problem. Yet this problem isn’t a behavioral one in form, but a perceptual one in our mind. Our mind is dreaming that it has separated itself from God, forgotten its nature as pure Spirit, and is now hallucinating itself as being a person in a world of time and space. For this problem, there is a solution, and it requires only that we open to the Guide and true Healer within, which the Course refers to as the Holy Spirit. It is this Guide that leads us Home to the Memory of God through the practice of true forgiveness and non-judgment. As we become willing to expose our fears, and lift up everything that has been hidden in our mind, we are led to greater depths of inner peace. Ultimately, forgiveness offers us everything we want, and is the means for awakening to the awareness of pure oneness, the state otherwise known as enlightenment.

01-07-17 Title: The Illusion of Personhood
Love is Who We Are, and Love does not possess. In the modern-day spiritual classic A Course in Miracles (ACIM), it is revealed that the world we perceive is an illusion — a dream made to hide our true Self as Spirit. Here in this world, we seem to wear a personality mask that has no reality in truth. This personality mask equates “having” with “possessing”, an illusion which enslaves the mind to a false sense of lack and fear. Yet to the Holy Spirit, having is equated with Being. And since Love is Who We Are, our true Self is in need of nothing.

12-28-16 Quantum Physics & Spirituality
Quantum physics shows that, ultimately, there is no objective world, and that all of consciousness is subjective. Further back in the mind is the Observer, the Witness Self, the One Who knows that everything is connected. Only God and Love are real, and the apparent differences we may perceive in the world are illusion.

12-21-16 Following Spirit’s Guidance
In this talk, David shares on the topic of spiritual guidance and how important it is to follow it. Guidance is like a stream of consciousness that is always available. It seems to be dualistic (i.e. “do this and not that”), but only for the purpose of leading our mind out of duality and into the awareness of pure oneness. When there is resistance to following guidance, it comes solely from the thought that something or someone not my Self is telling me to what to do. This is the concept known in A Course in Miracles as “the authority problem”. Yet we can remember that the Holy Spirit will never command or demand. Everything and every situation that comes our way offers a gift, and yet another opportunity to forgive the perception of attack, and see only Love or a Call for Love.
