10-12-17  Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #279 features live acoustic songs and improvisations by Mariam Massaro and the Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals, native flute, dulcimer and 12-string acoustic guitar, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and percussion.  Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, today’s show begins with the contemplative, native-inflected “Home Is Where We Feel Love”, a piece that rises in intensity to a raga-like coda.  “Sir Prince Rupert Turquesa” is a story of a long journey of good fortune that floats on clouds of piano arpeggios and a lovely, languid melody from Mariam.  “Nothing Stays The Same” is an understated ballad, an ode to summer’s end, melancholy and bittersweet, featuring Mariam’s acoustic 12-string guitar, and “We Are Truly One Within” is a classically toned prayer featuring a sweeping lead vocal from Mariam.
