07-16-20 Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #401 was recorded in July of 2020 at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, and is an hour of inspired, visionary acoustic music featuring the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic guitar, ukulele and native flute, Robin Rooney on percussion and vocals, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums. Today’s summery installment begins with the unsettled, skipping “Dragonflies By The River”, a picture of nature as frenetic and abundant. Mariam drives “Underneath The Sycamore Tree” with her ukulele, leading an upbeat folk song that paints more summer color into this July show. “We Thank You For Our Days” is a lush, mystical prayer of gratitude featuring a fine vocal from Mariam and “Fireflies” continues the laden, lazy summer flavor of today’s show with an understated, minimal reverie. Next up we present a tight, rocking rendition of Mariam’s “Oya Thunderqueen” followed by Mariam’s classic ballad of praise to the element Water, driven by a baroque piano arrangement from Bob. We cap today’s sprightly summer set with Mariam’s children’s song “Sparkle The Starfish” led by Mariam’s chiming 8-string ukulele
