09-18-17  A Blood Bank for Canines, and More!

In this week’s episode, Dr. Morgan welcomes Dr. W. Jean Dodds, world renowned veterinarian, author and founder of Hemopet Advanced Canine Thyroid Testing and Canine Food Sensitivity Testing.  Dr. Dodds became a veterinarian in 1964 and has spent 5 decades in clinical hematology & immunology research and diagnostic veterinary clinical pathology.  In 1986, she started Hemopet, the first non-profit national animal blood bank.  Today, Hemopet’s range of nonprofit services and educational activities include providing canine blood components and related services, adopting retired Greyhound blood donors as companions, and the Hemolife diagnostic division focused on hematology and blood banking, immunology, endocrinology, nutrition and holistic medicine (www.hemopet.org).  Dr. Dodds is also Co-Trustee of the Rabies Challenge Fund, a non-profit project to assess the duration of immunity and safety of current rabies vaccines for animals (www.rabieschallengefund.org).  She has also written 2 popular award-winning pet health books together with Diana Laverdure and holds an impressive 25 patents.  This is a show you won’t want to miss, so tune in to hear Drs.
