08-06-15  “Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #175 begins with a somber celebration for a beloved cat called “Goodbye Sweet Inka” featuring Dameron Midgett on Tibetan bowls, Mariam Massaro on vocals and ukelele, Sondra Lewis on vocals and percussion, Robert Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas.  Culminating in an interesting polyrhythmic movement, we segue into the series of interlocking harmonic games comprising “May the Hummingbird Find Her Way Home” and then into the driving “Oh What Treasures We Are”.  This piece evolves into a propulsive Afro-Cuban section which climbs dramatically through a series of ever more energized variations.  “Adeline Dandelion” is a beautiful folk-inflected summer reverie that wafts along on a gentle breeze of ukelele, acoustic guitar and rich, phase-shifting clouds of piano.  Following the break we continue with the psychedelic ragtime of “After All These Years”, a lovely and slightly unsettled piece that climaxes with an interweaving of vocals and native flute from Mariam.  Today’s final piece is the driving, elemental “Bluebird In The Morning” which features bells, native flute from Mariam and didjeridoo from Dameron.”
