03-25-21 Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #435 is an hour of live visionary acoustic improv music recorded live by the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic guitar, ukulele, celtic harp, Native flute and shrudi box, Robin Rooney on vocals, djembe and percussion, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and Native drums. Recorded at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in March 2021, today’s show begins with the meditative “Ides Of March”, a floating, flowing piece built around Mariam’s celtic harp. “In The Stillness” is a fun, groovy folk song with chiming ukulele from Mariam over Bob’s bluesy, psychedelic piano. “In The Darkness” is a night time meditation built around Mariam’s droning shrudi box featuring rich piano passages from Bob and lovely countermelodies from Robin. “I Hear The River Running” is a majestic minor tone poem driven by Mariam’s chiming acoustic guitar and a hypnotic piano motif from Bob, and we finish today’s show with the evocative and deeply meditative “From The Crystal Blue”.
