Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour was recorded at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington Massachusetts on September 16, 2019 and consists of inspiring, visionary songs by Mariam Massaro and acoustic improvisations by The Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals, 12 and 6 string acoustic guitars, ukulele and native flute, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums. Today’s show is the second half of an epic session and begins with the mystical “This Time”, a swirling raga led by Mariam’s Martin 12-string. “We Are The Ancient Ones” and “Everything and Everyone Matters” flow from the same musical fiber as the opener, full of motion and drama. Mariam picks up her ukulele for “Dedicated To The Dragonflies”, a mystical minor piece with a hint of blues from Bob. “I’m Here Now” is a lush ballad featuring virtuosic native flute commentary from Mariam and “Let’s Make It Right” is a bright, sunny folk song led by Mariam’s acoustic guitar and inspiring lyric. “You And Me Sailing On The Open Sea” is a gorgeous tone poem that breathes serenity and today’s closer is Mariam’s classic “Burning Ember” from the Smooth Sailin’ Love Songs LP.
