Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour was recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts on a warm September afternoon and features the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, dulcimer, celtic harp, native flute, acoustic guitar and ukulele, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums. Today’s show starts with the deeply meditative “The Flames Of Truth Are Always Burning”, a lush, 20 minute opus of soothing, contemplative beauty that yields to “Angels Are On My Mind”, a lovely, psychedelic piece that recalls ancient Celtic music with its ancient-sounding drone and Mariam’s visionary lyric. “If We Knew How To Live In Peace” is a minor ballad led by Mariam’s acoustic guitar and “Healed By The Rain” is a gentle, soothing piece that recalls a quiet late night contemplation. “If I Knew All The Ways” continues the minor, thoughtful mode with delicate piano and a lovely melody from Mariam. “In The Middle Of The Forest” is a playful ode to the forest beings led by Mariam’s eldritch, ancient dulcimer and closes today’s show.
