Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour is an hour of improvised, visionary acoustic music recorded live by Mariam Massaro and Bob Sherwood of the Gaea Star Band at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts in August 2019. Today’s show begins with the drifting, mystical “Just Warm Love”, a prayer for peace and understanding featuring lyrical native flute and celtic harp from Mariam. “Oh The River, How It Cools You Down” is a gentle, bluesy ballad led by Mariam’s smooth vocal and acoustic guitar and “Whistle The Melody Of Life” features unexpectedly virtuosic whistling from Bob over Mariam’s contemplative acoustic guitar. “Are You Listening?” is lush, somber contemplation led by Mariam’s gorgeous native flute and minimalist chording from Bob. “Let’s All Make Friends With Nature” features Mariam’s ukulele in a sparse, minor setting, evoking gently waving branches and “Three Tears” is a new song from Bob, featuring his vocals and expressive flute from Mariam. The sprightly, playful “Gypsy” is an offering from Mariam’s “Songs For The Children” CD and “Bliss Of Life” is a rolling, surreal piece that rises to a fever pitch before reaching its swirling climax.
