04-25-19 Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #349 Part Two

Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour is an hour of visionary acoustic improvisation by the Gaea Star Band and was recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, MA, in March 2019.  Part Two is a continuation of a very fruitful and creative session and features Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic guitar, ukulele and native flute, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums.  We begin with the lovely, percolating folk of “I Only Want To Serve In The Light”, and continue into “Standing In The River”, a reverent song of praise to resistance and activism in the face of near-absolute power.  “Bathe Me With Your Divine Light” is a gorgeous song of praise to the moon, mystical and lush, and “I Feel The Rising” is a springtime ballad led by Mariam’s plaintive acoustic guitar.  Next up is a stately reading of Mariam’s beautiful love song “Take Me” from her Vision Quest cd.  “Oh Holy Ground” is also from the Vision Quest cd and is presented here as a mystical, rich ballad.
