Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour was recorded at Singing Brook Studio and is an hour of visionary improvisational music featuring Mariam Massaro and Bob Sherwood of the Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals, native flute, ukulele and acoustic guitar and Bob on piano and congas. This week we begin with the sprightly folk of “Silvery Moonlight Night” led by Mariam’s ukulele before easing into the gentle “Luna Ever Higher”, a lush ballad featuring impressionist piano from Bob. “Let’s Sail Away On The Sea Of Love” is another gentle sound fable and “I Know You Are Free To Love Me” is a pretty, gentle love song led by Mariam’s chiming acoustic and lyrical piano from Bob. “There Is No Way To Be Except Free” finds Mariam returning to her tenor ukulele for a winter tone poem and “Turn The Page” is a jazzy piece distinguished by lovely native flute passages from Mariam. “Oh Lakshmi” closes this week’s show with a prayer of gratitude to Goddess Lakshmi.
