12-14-17 Today on Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #287 we welcome special guests Fuse featuring Greg Fortier and Joe Carvallo on electric guitars along to make some great, energized improvisatory music with the Gaea Star Band- Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic guitar, native flute, percussion, ukulele and dulcimer, Craig Harris on drums and congas and Bob Sherwood on piano.  Today’s show begins with the Mariam’s lush, unhurried “Acceptance Of Love”.  Beautiful lead work from Joe Carvallo decorates this cascading, pretty piece as Mariam weaves her inspirational lyric.  “Niashiyana” is a mystical, floating song driven by Mariam’s shimmering acoustic guitar, blues piano from Bob and driving congas from Craig.  Clean, sharp rhythm guitar from Greg and jazzy leads from Joe complete the picture.  Today’s five-piece guitar-soaked combo creates an improvised rock masterpiece with the breathless, heavy “Grateful For The Magnificence”, a relentless and innovative piece with driving, impassioned vocals from Mariam.  “Smile” and “Standing Ones Of Piece” are old favorites from Mariam’s songbook and here they are delivered with punch, imagination and sympathetic guitar work from Greg and Joe.
