08-07-14  “Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #125 is a very special best-of that features some highlights from the last year-plus, specifically some very impressive performances from some of our guests.  Highlighting the mystical raga-steeped drama of Burrie Jenkins, the anthemic, deeply-felt auteurship of Kurt Henry, the lustrous pop poetry of Jont and the easy virtuosity and lush rhythms of Senegalese brother band Bideew Bou Bess, this episode reminds us how fortunate we are to have a venue to present and participate in so much unusually and distinctive music.  Also included are a couple of highlights by Mariam and the Gaea Star Band from the last year, the unusual and austere “Crow Moon” and the finely-textured “Pray”.  Our hope is that you enjoy hearing the beauty and virtuosity as much as we enjoyed experiencing them.”
