Dr. Kimberly Mascaro and Linda Yael Schiller, MSW, LICSW join us for PART 2  to discuss Extraordinary Dreams and Dream-work with Dreaming Healing host Kat Kanavos. Is there a connection between your dreams and relationships during COVID? How can Dreamwork be helpful in our waking lives? The experts are here to answer these questions and more.

Bio: Dr. Mascaro is the Author of Extraordinary Dreams: Visions, Announcements & Premonitions Across Time & Place. She is a Psychologist & Licensed Psychotherapist, Certified Guided Meditation/Yoga Nidra Facilitator, Certified Hypnotherapist, and the Ethics Committee Co-Chair: International Association for the Study of Dreams. Kimberly R. Mascaro wears many hats in addition to her role as a spiritually-oriented psychologist. Dr. Mascaro has worked in the fields of mental/behavioral health as well as higher education for over 20 years, blending Western and Eastern science for mental health and wellbeing. Her primary focus is on women’s issues – particularly navigating life’s BIG transitions, as well as healing trauma, anxiety, depression, supporting pregnancy/postpartum, enhancing spirituality & meditation, moving beyond grief/loss, as well as recovery from substance abuse. And DREAMS. Dr. Mascaro’s most recent publication is Extraordinary Dreams (2018), published by McFarland. Her research on dreams has been presented and published in the USA and Europe.

Bio: Linda Yael Schiller, MSW, LICSW is an international speaker, dreamwork specialist, integrative mind/body/spiritual psychotherapist, and author of Modern Dreamwork: New Tools for Decoding Your Soul’s Wisdom (Llewellyn Worldwide, 2019) and Comprehensive and Integrative Trauma Treatment (Western Schools, 2010) and professor emeritus of Boston University School of Social Work. Linda teaches dreamwork to a variety of professionals and lay dreamers including therapists, coaches, clergy, and health care providers as well as at team building, corporate events and retreats. Her “Integrated Embodied Dreamwork” approach, “Dreamwork Through the Lens of Kabbalah”, and her innovative nightmare protocol based on best practices in trauma treatment and Jungian active imagination called “The GAIA* Method (Guided Active Imagination Approach)” are some of her contributions to the field. Linda also works deeply with dreamwork, and offers a group dream circle, individual consultation, and training for professionals on working with dreams. She has designed several innovative methods for dreamwork. One method is based on the Kabbalah, another is a Jungian based approach for dreamwork with trauma survivors called “GAIA” (Guided Active Imagination Approach), and a third is an integration of dreamwork methods across several styles. (book site)
