05-10-18 Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #305 was taped in late April 2018 at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington Massachusetts and features songs by Mariam Massaro and visionary acoustic improvisation from the Gaea Star Band with Mariam on vocals, native flute, acoustic guitar and ukulele, Craig Harris on congas and drums and Bob Sherwood on piano.  Today’s first piece is the minimalist groove “Here In The Beauty” that features a driving, funky rhythm section from Bob and Craig and inspired lyrics and flute passages from Mariam.  Mariam picks up her new eight string ukulele for the outstanding folk ballad “Moonlight”, a gorgeous, flowing piece with a lush melody and bittersweet piano.  “”We’re Holding On” is a misty, mystical minor ballad with a classical heart wrapped in progressive minimalism and an evocative melody from Mariam.  “Hail To The Rain” is a prayer to a lush, wet spring day and “Wake Up To The Beauty” is a gorgeous, windswept ballad featuring chiming acoustic guitar from Mariam.
