05-28-18 Terminally Ill Dogs Living Happily Ever After

This week, Dr. Judy is pleased to welcome back her friend Michele Allen, who along with her husband Jeff, co-founded Monkey’s House A Dog Hospice & Sanctuary.  Long time animal advocates, Michele and Jeff offer sanctuary to terminally ill senior dogs who, through no fault of their own, find themselves homeless.  Instead of adopting out these dogs, Monkey’s House primary mission is to provide a loving home environment and palliative medical care for however long they may have.  Along with their extensive volunteer team of “Aunts” and “Uncles”, including Dr. Judy as Medical Director, they provide 24/7 love and care to 20 plus dogs at any given time on their small Burlington County, NJ farm.  When quality of life has come to an end, their founders ensure a loving journey to the Rainbow Bridge.  It has been a banner year since her 2017 Interview, including Michele’s being named a CNN Hero. This is your chance to hear Dr. Judy and Michele talk about life at Monkey’s House over the past year as well as future plans for growth.
