On this episode of the Make Mental Health Matter Show, Kelli chats with Max Blaska.

He is a screenwriter and mental health advocate who was the lead writer of a short film that has been playing at film festivals across America, including the MHSA Film Festival hosted by Make Mental Health Matter nonprofit in 2024. He has gone from suicidal to award winning filmmaker in 2 years. You do not want to miss hearing his story.

Max Blaska was the lead writer of the short film Last Rung On The Ladder. He also is a survivor of anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. He is using the film to talk about his experiences and to eventually use the performing arts to help end mental illness stigma.
