02-01-15 Topic: Self Worth, Love & Domestic Violence
Deborah invites her soul sister Author Barbara Berger from Copenhagen for an empowering discussion on domestic violence through personal experience. How the love for a child can give a Mother the power to flee.
It was disheartening to hear about the NFL’s support for a player’s abuse towards fiancé when video showed him literally dragging her unconscious out of an elevator. Dissolving domestic violence has come along way yet in the year of 2014 it still exists. It’s a shame fiancé actually married him, some may not understand why one stays…there’s a lot of mind games, always a honeymoon stage and little self worth involved.
Many victims stay out of fear of safety. They wonder how to support themselves and or their children. They come to believe they are worthless after years of being told so. The value-less self usually stems from childhood, not feeling loved because of verbal or physical abuse. AND the abuser usually comes from an abusive childhood and chooses to continue the cycle. Yes, the cycle can be broken. At the core of every abuse story is the lack of self worth, self love.
To date, Barbara Berger has written 15 self-empowerment books documenting and presenting the tools and insights she has discovered over the years on her quest. In all her books, Barbara explores and explains the incredible power of mind and how we can use this power wisely to live happy lives right now, regardless of outer events and circumstances.
