11-06-18 Radical Transformational Leadership: What does this imply? Guest Speaker: Jean Houston
Social Artistry and Radical Leadership for Whole Systems Transformation
We invite you to a discussion on whole systems transformation Jean Houston, Ph.D., a world-renowned scholar, philosopher, educator and a recognized pioneer of the Human Potential Movement. We will explore elements of a vision of a world in a state of positive transition. What is the new story for our time that embraces whole system transition? We must encourage inquiry of what it takes to shape a planetary civilization attuned to nature and elevate and deepen discourse and dialogue on global affairs. Deepening and strengthening the inner life and its interconnectedness to the whole will leads us to explore new forms of spirituality for a global era. Do we know how to deal with complexity and encourage the growth of an informed Global Civil Society?
What training programs do we need to design and deliver that prepare people for resilience, action and results? What is there in the unique givens of our evolutionary nature to inspire the emerging new story and the radical changes and challenges that go with it? We can discover ways of transcending and transforming the local self so that extraordinary life can arise. We will learn how to create the architecture of whole systems transformation. And so, we find that each one of us really can make a difference.
There is no question but that a larger life is latent in the human species and that we live only a small part of the life that is given. This means however that one agrees to relinquish those limited and limiting patterns of body, that is sensory and motor patterns, of emotions, of volition, of intelligence and understanding, and of spirit. that have been keeping us from becoming all that we can be. And allowing ourselves to instead become available to the extraordinary dimensions that each of us contains for much larger life in body, mind, and spirit. Leading to new ways of designing and implementing policies that shift the current destructive paradigm to one of a world that works for Earth and life on this planet.
We will discuss how we enhance human solidarity through honoring cultural and developmental differences; and discover the ways and means of the social artist AKA the radical transformational leader, who can help individuals, organizations and cultures move into the evolutionary agenda.
