Joshua Fields was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He is the oldest of three and was raised just outside of Chicago. He received a Master of Arts degree in Economics from DePaul University in 1996, and has spent most of his career doing Market Research in the Retail Industry. His first published creative work, “Staring into the Sun,” is his tribute to women and relationships. It is a short book of poems patterned after the cc cummings poem “May I Feel Said He,” and is based on his experiences and observations. He currently resides in San Francisco.

Joshua’s second book is a Children’s Book titled “Seasons of Isabelle.” It is a story of the circle of life and self-actualization. The story is based on his Family Dog – a Golden Retriever named Isabelle. The book is scheduled for release in the Fall of 2010. Joshua, not confined to one audience, also has a third forthcoming book of short stories titled “In our Time of Living” that focuses on Social Issues in America.

Joshua Fields may be a moniker Jeff Stanis, another division of his talent, but that does not really affect or concern the reader of this unique collection of poems. Fields writes conversations – one line for the man, one for the woman – and while that may not in a review sound too interesting, reading these moments page by page creates a sense of intimacy. www.joshuafieldsbooks.com
