03-15-15 Job or Devotion? An Inside Look to Caring for the Elderly or the Impaired
A glimpse: The seven minutes ended and the miracle unfolded in that space of no time but for this story I will say it was about 15 seconds. My friend came out of the seizure as swiftly as she entered it. She turned her now relaxed face toward me. Our eyes met and what I saw was something like the innocence of a child accompanied by pure light. I hardly have the words within me to describe what I witness. This woman’s body was rattled by a seizure that occurred primarily on the left side of her brain. The right side was unencumbered and available for its primary function, spiritual insight. She returned from her seizure exposing her soul. What I saw when the episode was over was the face of an angel, the sweetness of a child and the purity of human potential.
What I learned is we are removed from our greatness simply because we believe we are removed from our greatness.
