11-13-24 Hypnotic Illusions: Jesus’ Teachings on Perception
The Bible speaks about seeing the world through a darkened glass, like having dark sunglasses on. We perceive a world of darkness, with separate people, places, things, situations, and events. Jesus teaches that the world was made in hatred and is a place where God cannot enter, but we are not fully aware of this. We are beginning to realize that nothing is what it seems—but distorted and fragmented. It’s like a psychotic break from reality, as everything has multiple voices and interpretations.
No two people see the same world, as only one mind dreams of exile from God but projecting a private world of private thoughts. This movie workshop encourages us to see beyond this world to a lit-up world reflecting truth, oneness, love, and forgiveness.
