Jane Honeck, CPA, PFS founded Honeck-O’Toole Certified Public Accountants in 1982 after working for a Big 8 accounting firm in Portland, ME where she honed her tax and financial planning skills. Recognizing her attraction to the people side of the business, she formed an accounting firm that went beyond excellent accounting and tax services. With the slogan, “Where People Count”, Honeck-O’Toole focuses on perfecting client service and building relationships while providing excellent services in tax planning and compliance, financial planning, accounting and management consulting for individuals and a wide variety of small businesses.
Jane’s designation as a Personal Financial Specialist, (PFS), has also given her further expertise in estate, tax, retirement, risk management and investment planning. All of this experience helped her work with her clients on the mechanics of money management. But she always knew that solving money problems was more than just that.
While Jane built her professional practice, she also began a quest of inner discovery. As part of that journey, she trained under empowerment pioneers, Gail Straub and David Gershon and became a Certified Empowerment Trainer with the Empowerment Institute of New York and developed financial workshops and her six session money program, Cent$ible Living. These programs combine her extensive money management experience with her in-depth awareness of human consciousness and reflect her passion for helping her clients discover the money beliefs that underlie their relationship with money. Having worked closely with her clients for over 30 years, she knew that teaching the mechanics of money was not enough to move them toward long-term financial change. Jane knew the solution was in mastering the unexamined beliefs that drive our financial lives. Recognizing the importance of this work, Jane wrote her first book, The Problem with Money?
