12-08-16   Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #240 features a series of songs and improvisations from The Gaea Star Band featuring Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic 6- and 12-string guitars, baritone ukulele, harmonica, violin and native flute, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and balophone.  Taped at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, today’s show begins with the driving folk of “Gently Alongside Of Me”, a lovely and sincere song of praise and gratitude to our pets.  “Adalayda” is a beautiful minor ballad, a deeply compelling narrative from Mariam with mystical, minimal accompaniment.  “Temple Of The Golden Light” is a gorgeous, spiritual improvisation featuring visionary lyrics and a soaring vocal from Mariam.  “May We All Find The Way To Love” is a song of praise to Mother Earth and to unity among people featuring a climactic gospel coda and “Going Back Inside My Heart” is a stately folk song built around Mariam’s rich Martin 12-string guitar.  Bob takes the lead vocal for a run through of his “This Goodbye” featuring violin and countermelodies from Mariam and “Holding Onto My Dreams” is an uptempo workout for Mariam on violin, Bob on 12-string and Craig’s driving congas.
