The wild success of the new Woolfer App (www.thewoolfer.com) for women over 40 proves that there is a significant need for resources and support for women that is not being addressed by our society. And no, women don’t want just another prescription, a patronizing physician, or a new knitting pattern. Women want resources, information and support with regards to sex, menopause, insomnia, stress, parenting, empty nesting, entertainment, dating, relationships, aging, work and everything else under the sun. And most of all, women want connection with other honest women.

Have you ever lain in bed at night, unable to sleep, worrying about just about everything? If you are anything like me and Nina Lorez Collins, the answer is yes! But instead of suffering silently, Nina created a safe, private Facebook community where she could connect with her girlfriends and talk about their feelings on aging, stress, relationships and everything they were struggling, but were unable to find answers with.

Before she knew it, here small private group had turned into a large, active and powerful group of women from all over the world who were candidly sharing their stories and experiences on a wide variety of very private topics. Inspired, Nina wrote her first book, What Would Virginia Woolf Do? And Other Questions I Ask Myself As I Attempt to Age Without Apology, which is part memoir/part resource and funny take on aging for women in the second half of their lives.

And then it dawned on her; her group had taken on a life of its own, and it was time to migrate the group to its own platform and app. It was time to step fully into her calling, into the dreams he had inadvertently built, and to live her sparkle and FLAUNT! as only she could. So she did! The Woolfer is a network of women from all over the world, who desire real, raw, authentic conversation and connection with other women.

Join me as I interview the powerful, raw, authentic and stunningly beautiful Nin Lorez Collins about her journey with The Woolfer community and how she uses FLAUNT! in her life.

Nina is a graduate of Barnard College, has a Masters degree from Columbia in the field of Narrative Medicine, and has a long professional background in book publishing, both as a literary scout and then as an agent. She has four nearly grown children and lives in Brooklyn.
