This week’s show will be all about cats as Dr. Judy welcomes the editor of her award-winning Chirpi-cats blog and 2018 Pet Industry Woman of the Year’s “Rising Star” winner, Yasaar Nakchbendi, joining us from Montreal, Canada where she lives with her husband and their clowder (group) of cat muses. Yasaar’s popular blog aims to entertain, inform and inspire cat owners everywhere to create enriching environments for their multi-cat households. She is also the recipient of several other awards including the “Muse Medallion Award” from the Cat Writers’ Association, of which she is also a professional member. When Yasaar is not writing about cat-friendly gardens or fun DIY cat hacks, she retreats to her she-shed where she creates miniature sculptures of her cats in cold porcelain clay. So, whether you’re a cat lover or just an admirer from afar, you’ll definitely want to tune in to hear Yasaar and Dr. Judy recount some of her favorite stories and how she is continuing her mission to help cats live lovingly in forever homes with their people so we can ultimately see fewer cats in shelters.
