10-16-24 A Journey Beyond Linear Time and Specialness
– A Movie Commentary by David Hoffmeister
David’s movie commentary dismantles our belief and perception of linear time, private thoughts, and people-pleasing. Private thoughts are defense mechanisms against the Holy Instance, love, light, and simplicity. Jesus teaches that the present moment is the closest approximation of eternity, and all mystics and saints emphasize being present and being a bringer of God’s love. However, the linear world of time and space is like a mask pulled over, made out of specialness. Specialness is the ego that made this world. This goes beyond the concept of special relationships and what many people think about special relationships. Everything that seems to exist independently is specialness.
David’s movie commentary helps us disassemble our faulty perceptions. God did not make trees, the world, or time. He also explains that nothing real can be threatened, and therein lies the peace of God.
