12-29-21 “12 Dates of Christmas” – a Christmas Movie Wake Up Talk by David Hoffmeister
We’ve been trying to get it right in time and space, thinking that we already know what’s right. Time and time again we think we have a problem and we also think we already know what the problem is. Any stressful situation is a way to try to define the problem in terms of form. You’re sure it’s a financial problem or an interpersonal relationship problem or that we have a pollution problem, a pandemic problem, or an overpopulation problem, fill in the blank. But Jesus and the Holy Spirit are telling us, that the problem is not in form. The form is a reflection of what you believe. You think you’re something that you are not. That you are other than the Holy Christ and that’s the real problem. Assuming you have an identity apart from God’s perfect love and light, that’s the problem, and this movie will help us see that.
