Fighting Against Over-vaccination

This week, Dr. Judy Morgan is joined by Dr. John Robb, a respected veterinarian from New Fairfield, CT, known worldwide for his work to Protect the Pets.  Throughout his career, Dr. Robb has held an unwavering commitment to pets over profits, starting in 1988 with his first practice where he established Community Appreciation Days, offering free exams and vaccinations to those who could not afford regular veterinary care.  He later experienced first-hand the toxic effect of the drive for productivity and profitability over animal care when he purchased a veterinary franchise.  It was also where his unwillingness to observe the unspoken “rule” among veterinarians that emphasize protecting the vet over protecting the pet earned him the love and respect of pet owners and the disdain of the growing corporate veterinary establishment.  While some in the industry want silence him, he has become a voice and leader for the many animal care professionals who want to live their passion and provide the very best care to our animal companions.  Dr. Robb’s tireless efforts to bring awareness of the dangers of over-vaccination has become a global movement to protect the pets by amending the laws to honor the measuring of circulating antibodies – namely the blood titer – as a true indicator of immunity.  This is a show you won’t want to miss as Dr. Morgan and Dr. Robb discuss over-vaccination and how you can protect your pets.

Dr. Morgan grew up in Pitman and Woodstown, NJ, where she graduated high school as valedictorian in 1977. In 1980 she graduated from Rutgers with a Bachelor of Science and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Dr. Morgan is also a certified and accredited veterinary acupuncturist, chiropractitioner, and food therapist.

Based in southern New Jersey, Dr. Morgan currently operates two veterinary hospitals that offer an integrative approach combining holistic medicine with traditional Western techniques. Holistic practices such as chiropractic, acupuncture, food therapy, and herbal therapy, are utilized alongside conventional medicine to provide a full range of veterinary treatment.

The ability to utilize both kinds of therapies offers her clients many more options than using a single method of healing. In many cases, using this approach also allows earlier identification and treatment of impending problems.

Outside of the office Dr. Morgan spends much of her time working with Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and English Toy Spaniel rescue groups by assisting in finding, transporting, and fostering neglected animals. She is Chief Veterinary Medical Officer for Monkey’s House dog hospice and senior sanctuary. She also enjoys public speaking and giving presentations at local and national continuing education venues.

Do you live out of the area but would love to receive holistic advice about your pet’s health and diet? She can help! See Dr. Morgan’s Phone Consultations or visit the forum to get more detailed information about your pet!
