Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, today’s show begins with the mystical and understatedly powerful “Fire, Fire, Fire” before yielding to the gentle and lovely folk ballad “Let Your Love Flow”. “To Ruth” is a rousing tribute to Ruth Bader Ginsberg, another soft yet powerful folk song. “Let’s Swing And Sway To The Rain” is a compellingly mysterious groove led by Mariam’s languid ukulele and “Star Covered Door” is an epic song cycle tied together by Mariam’s virtuosic native flute passages and imaginative piano from Bob. We finish today with the bouncing, joyful “Shamiyaya”, a Hawaiian reggae tune from Mariam’s upcoming “Release” album.
