08-06-20 Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #404 is an hour of visionary, beautiful acoustic improvisational music featuring the Gaea Star Band with Mariam Massaro on vocals, acoustic guitar, native flute and ukulele, Robin Rooney on vocals and djimbe, Bob Sherwood on piano and Craig Harris on congas and native drums. Today’s episode, recorded at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts, begins with the peaceful, lovely “Oh, The Beauty”, a lush and verdant song of summer praise. “Hold To The Vision” is a groovy Afrocuban improv with funky congas and piano and “Oh, The Rain Soothes” is a mystical, rain-soaked song led by Mariam’s silvery 8-string ukulele. “Flowers Of Delight” is a profoundly beautiful song from Mariam’s upcoming “Release” album, and “Into The Night Realms” is a midnight meditation led by an imaginative vocal from Mariam over her caressing acoustic guitar. We conclude with a trio of songs from Mariam’s albums, the compelling “Sail To The Realms”, joyous Hawaiian song “Pele” and the deeply affecting “Sail On” from the Vision Quest cd.
