The Journey of the Soul

Jaentra Green Gardener is a certified massage therapist. Diagnosed in 1977 with multiple sclerosis, Jaentra left no stone upturned in exploring any method that might help her overcome that illness. Over 30 years she studied massage, accupressure, reflexology, Reiki, MariEl, Integrated Awareness Technique, Neo-Reichian Work, Bioenergetics, supported age regression, Polarity Therapy, Ortho-Bionomy, Hypnosis, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, and Transactional Analysis. She incorporated her learning into a method called Three Heart Balancing™ and is helping others cope with their healing challenges. http://jaentragreengardener.com/

Healing Hands Network – In the Beginning
The Minnesota-based 501(c)3 non-profit organization Healing Hands Network was co-founded by Mark Wandersee and Jaentra Green Gardener. Jaentra’s own healing journey began in 1977 when she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Numb from the neck down, she tried everything she could find to be healthy, leaving no stone unturned. Fifteen years later, after spending thousands of hours and thousands of dollars on therapies, she found herself improved enough to compete in a ballroom dancing contest—at which point she declared herself cured! What’s more, she was no longer afraid. She trusted her body.

By 1991, a small group led by Jaentra came together in search of a cheaper, faster, more efficient path of healing than Jaentra’s own laborious, costly, trial and error approach. With “Ho’ opono pono” (the Hawaiian concept that “God is Rhythm”) as the inspiration, and using the group as a practice ground, Jaentra began experimenting. She devised a method that put all the body’s rhythms, including breathing, heartbeat, cranial-sacral, and peristaltic rhythms, into sync with God’s rhythm. This new method of healing produced the effect of energetically opening the pelvic bowl, enabling life-giving vitality to flow through one’s entire body.

Over a period of years, through the open source method of development, the entire group participated in fine-tuning this healing energy into what today is known as Three Heart Balancing™. The three “hearts” are the pelvis, the physical heart, and the third eye (located mid-forehead). These centers, or “hearts,” when opened and flowing, put the body in balance with earth’s gravity, which has a profoundly healing effect on the human body.

In 2000 and 2001, Jaentra and volunteers taught doctors, nurses, and chaplains classes in the healing technique of Three Heart Balancing™ through the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. Today patients can receive this simple, user-friendly form of healing. Their family members can learn ways to help them eliminate dis-ease and become more comfortable. While Dr. Greg Plotnicoff was Medical Director at the Center, he suggested that it warrants serious research. He particularly appreciated the ease with which it can be taught, saying, “I would rather family members with a loved one in the hospital have the choice to put their hands on the patient than to watch the monitors or Gilligan’s Island.” As a result, the Healing Hands Network, a nonprofit, 501(c) 3 organization, was established to train healers and offer healing services, with a mission to make healing available to everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

“The Healing Hands Network provides coaching or healing to anyone who calls free of charge. Under the Complementary and Alternative Medicine Act in the state of Minnesota, these volunteers follow a code of respect and professionalism. I believe the Healing Hands Network will provide a needed resource to help individuals as they walk on their journey toward health.”  Karen L. Lawson, MD, Asst. Professor Family Medicine and Community Health, Director of Health Coaching; University of Minnesota Center for Spirituality and Healing

In 2000 and 2001 WCCO TV did news stories on the remarkable healing results of Three Heart Balancing™. Each time the stories aired, 800 plus people called the Network to receive help for their dis-eases, pain, or injuries. This thoughtful and provocative news coverage encouraged the practice of healing as a compliment to traditional medical care.
View WCCO Videos Today the Healing Hands Network mission is expanding beyond a primarily local, Midwest community to include the formation of a global network of volunteer healers and coaches. These volunteer healers are available as mentors to help people spread the gift of healing to all who need it, making healing as natural as breathing and as accessible as a loving pair of hands. http://healinghandsnetwork.org/
