02-05-15  “Gaea Star Crystal Radio Hour #151 takes place on a crisp January afternoon at Singing Brook Studio and begins with the mystical swirl of Mariam’s “The Diamond Pearl”, a conversation between eastern and western modes featuring vocals and harmonica from Mariam, congas from Craig Harris and piano and percussion from Bob Sherwood.  The acoustic 12-string-driven “Grateful For The January Moon” has afro-cuban underpinnings expressed in Bob’s hypnotic, repeating chord motifs punctuated by bluesy runs and Craig’s relentless groove.  One of the most successful, kinetic and imaginative pieces yet from this version of the Gaea Star Band.  “Silver Sleigh Of New Love” is a new song from Mariam improvised into elastic, grooving series of motifs again defined by Mariam’s harmonica.  Following the break, Mariam picks up her acoustic guitar for “Walking The Path Of Love”, another new original this time with a swirling, romantic Spanish flavor.  Closing the show today is a fine medley of Mariam’s “Distant Star” into “This Is The Way” which is dedicated to world peace and to surrounding the world with love.”
