03-18-26 The Way of the Mystic Online Revival Weekend 5 – Saturday Movie Session with David Hoffmeister
During this Saturday morning movie gathering, part of the The Way of the Mystic weekend revival titled “Radical acceptance of the guidance: Leave the world behind”, David helps the listeners shift the focus of the mind toward recognizing the mental “hypnosis” of the world and the necessity of coming into a deep agreement with oneself to follow the light of truth.
In his commentary, David centers on the realization that there is no useful choice in the world of space and time other than the consistent alignment with the Holy Spirit. By looking at the world as a complex projection designed to keep the mind distracted, we can begin to see that our only true investment should be in present guidance. Using the metaphor of a mind trapped in a series of deceptive layers, David highlights how we must learn to see through the “hypnotic” suggestions of the ego. Instead of trying to fix or choose between different aspects of the dream, we are invited to accept a state of radical trust where the script is already written, and our only role is to accept the peace that comes with that recognition.
Through this lens, the session explores how important it is to learn the lesson that “only truth is true”: by giving special relationships and personal desires to the Holy Spirit, we forgive the illusions of the ego’s worthless gifts, allowing the mind to be led back to the awareness of true Identity as Christ.
These gatherings take place every weekend in February and March 2026 and include teachings, films, music, panel discussions, and live Q&A sessions with David Hoffmeister.
